That's is great question. Are you really you? Do you feel you are being 100% authentic?
Do you say what you want to say? Do you do what you really want to do? Are you 100% satisfied with your life? Do you fully express yourself? Are you truly living your life?
One day, everyone that you know including yourself are going to die. This topic is commonly avoided and not much spoken about but is something that will happen regardless. Are you afraid to die? Many people are afraid to die because they haven't truly lived their life.
If I was lying on death bed I would ask myself, have I enjoyed my life fully? Have I made positive impact? I would not want to die with regrets.
Reason I am mentioning this is because there are many times we can get too serious with life, stuck in day to day living, work, sleep, eat, repeat. Year has passed and you are like wtf? It has been year? What have I experienced apart work, sleep, eat? World is on the movement all day everyday. Days passing by, we are following the same routines. I said this to myself many times!
So as you were reading the questions above. How many of those questions have you answered yes and how many answers were no? I have asked these questions many times and many of my answers were no. I was being honest with myself because I didn't believe I was living my life in full! There was sense of emptiness, unfulfillment.
What can be changed? Well the fact that you are still reading until this point means somewhere inside of you feel like you haven't lived your life and these questions were meant to be addressed to you. So can set yourself to a direction of change Nothing happens by accident in this universe.
The day we were born we were conditioned. By our parents, society, friends, family, teachers, leaders. We were taught what to believe, what is right and wrong, what we should be doing in our life. We picked up beliefs about ourselves from other people's opinions, we experienced some events which caused trauma to some degree. This can be as little as someone ''jumping out of dark and scream at you,, as a joke, but you got scared shittless at that time and your body went into shock. Now days you don't like being in dark or you jump when you hear loud noise. That could because that specific event that happened in the past. You avoid being in darkness and staying away from loud noises. But you you are not living in your past anymore which means you can learn to feel safe again in the dark and you can be ok with loud noises. Anything can be changed.
This works pretty much the same with beliefs. and agreements we believed to be true. Unconsciously we picked up beliefs and agreements that are not even ours. (The four Agreements book) I would highly recommend to dive deeper into this.
I'd like to share few questions that can help to reveal next steps into start living your life a little more and based on your own truth. Remember that you don't need to see the whole staircase, just take the first step and trust.
What is currently holding me back from living my life more?
What Am I afraid of?
What small change I can make to improve my current situation?
What belief about myself is holding me back?
What would I like to change about the way I am?
You will receive answers, in different ways different times. Just pay attention to what comes across your way.
Much Love
Lilu xx
