There many aspects in our life we may hard to accept. It might be the past, relationships, people, family, day to day experience, situations, beliefs, most most importantly ourselves. If we are having trouble accepting anything, we are running on a old neurological pattern which for us in this case is the known. We may have been living by expectations by others rather what is beneficial for ourselves. We have been acting this way for long period of time and that's what we know.
It all goes back to our childhood.
Learning to accept requires us to change something and change can be uncomfortable. Change and new way of thinking will require time but not as long as we may think.
Here we have 2 choices we learn to accept or we don't, is that simple. The only thing that is stopping us is ourselves, no one else has control over this. Are you allowing yourself to change or you don't? Here is a affirmation I used many times before anything I wanted to improve or change. It helped me and by saying it out loud helps even more. It could start something like
I allow my self to change, I accept ........ fill it in with anything that is relevant.
Once you learn to accept anything or anyone you will drop fucking heavy baggage of our shoulders trust me lol. Acceptance will also change your perspective towards people and situations, experience that occur in your life.
